We are planning on raising some pastured broilers and laying hens this summer. The goal is to start small, testing out different breeds and raising methods. We may not have much availability, but let us know if you are interested.

We will be propagating a lot of plants for our orchards as we get them established and expect to have surpluses to sell. In 2016 we should have grapes, elderberry, and cane fruit. As our existing trees start to develop, we will be grafting many varieties of apples, including traditional cider and heritage apples. Hopefully there will be some small trees to sell in a year or two. There should also be some medicinal herbs available in 2016.

In developing our permaculture orchards, we are going to be experimenting with a lot of different fruits to see what works best for us, including apples, blueberries, cane fruit, grapes, pears, plums, persimmons, and more. It is going to take some time for the plants to start producing, but we may have some raspberries and blackberries ready for u-pick in 2016.

Every orchard needs a few bee hives and we are going to get a couple established this summer. Expect to see honey available in 2016.

We are going to be experimenting with different methods of feeding chickens, including using restaurant food scraps in a composting system. If that works out, there will be a good supply of compost to sell as the system gets established.

We’ll be updating this site as products become available or new ideas come up, so please check back. Send us an email if you have any suggestions for products or would like to be on our mailing list.
